The federal government has approved a new law introducing a social tariff premium for collective installations. This measure, which came into force on Thursday 1 August 2024, is designed to ease the energy costs of residents living in buildings with communal heating systems.
In order to obtain these bonuses, property managers have to take certain steps, as they are not allocated automatically. You will be able to apply for the bonus from 2 September 2024.
What does the social rate subsidy cover?
The social tariff premium covers several types of energy used in collective installations, including :
It is important to note that other energy sources such as heating oil, propane and petroleum are not included in this allowance.
How do you apply?
You must submit an application to the FPS Economy via the following link https://primetarifsocialinstallationcollective.economie.fgov.be/, giving the code you have received from your property manager.
People will be able to submit their application from 2 September 2024 for the3rd quarter of 2024. The first premiums will be paid in the4th quarter of 2024.
